chips made from the heartwood of Logwood.

SOURCE : 
The Logwood tree is small (10 to 15 meters). It has a twisted trunk and a brown-grey bark. The branches are thorny and have very small leaves. The flowers bearing 5 petals, appear in yellow clusters. The wood is very dense and doesn’t float.

Logwood has been used as a dye for centuries.

SCRD has its own Logwood plantation in Southern Nicaragua, since 2005.
